Write a Letter to Your Child – Template Below!
I think letters are a great way to capture memories and emotions; documenting them for the future. Letters from history give us a peak into what life was like and help us connect to the author and recipient. What would be more special than giving your child letters you have written to them over the years that give them a peak into their childhood.
Why Write a Letter to Your Child
1. Makes a special keepsake to keep memories alive.
Do it yearly on their birthday, at the beginning/ending of the year, or make it a family tradition by writing a Christmas letter to your children.
2. Gives you as the parent an opportunity to share a life lesson they can use in their future.
I also love the idea of having extended family or close friends write a letter as well.
3. Can be a moment of joy to lift their spirits as they read the words from a loved one.
If you wrote them letters through their childhood you could gift them when they turn eighteen and likely experience big life changes. The letters could help them feel close to home and connected to their family while still taking on the adventure of adulthood.

To My Beautiful Daughters,
God gave me you. He designed me for you and you for me. I am thankful and blessed to have you both and pray that you will always see Christ in me. My #1 purpose as your mother is to show you Christ and help you know Him.
I am always here for each of you no matter what. My love for you both will never change.
Through the struggles and times I may mess up, I hope you will always forgive me and know in your heart that I am doing my very best at being your mom. You both will do great things and I hope I can instill in you qualities you need to be used by God.
Always be kind. Always stay close to Christ and follow Him. Open your heart and let His joy fill you and overflow to those around you.
My desire is that these letters that I write you both will stay with you always and be a source of encouragement, instruction, and love.
Love you both bunches and bunches,
Your Thankful & Blessed Mama
